Poem 6 (17) -- My teacher never told me

Mikka Mi Amor                 Bones Kendall

My teacher never told me
That poetry is play.

When there is no game,
When you’re stuck somewhere lame
With nothing to do,
And you start to feel blue–
There is one thing
That I recommend,
But you have to have
Paper and pen,
Or perhaps a computer.
It’s not masculine,
Feminine or neuter.
It’s poetry and
It’s a form of play.
Don’t be afraid
Of being called gay.
Just pass the time
Writing rhymes,
And you shall see
What fun it can be.
